Lucky. I just watched an episode of Housewives - New York. Did you see the Trumpster?

It was so great, Tanner. We explored until we dropped: Little Italy, Soho, China Town (some great adventures there). Some plays. Lots of great food, though Meg had trouble with the Indian meal (kept sneaking her dough bread onto my plate). Some writing sessions and museums. My friends there are writing assistants, working on degrees, who treated Megan with such grace and respect. She fell in love with them. Do you remember Emily Little?
And if I'd seen Trump, I'd probably have spit or thrown up. I think he's the Great American Sleaze. Speaking of sleaze, you're watching "Housewives"? I worry you're losing brain cells, Tanner, though your last writing on this blog was great. Sounded like "you" again. Nicely done.
Did you know Hyrum Garvin? He just shipped to Iraq. Poignant letter on WC Blog. Broke my heart: http://writingcenterfolks.blogspot.com/

james in front of a perfume stand? I see that NY has only exacerbated his foppish, dandy tendencies.

Actually, J. he was working as grandfather to everyone again. James was crossing the street in Soho when we burst out of a filthy building where Meg had followed a Vietnamese girl, who promised her a Prada purse sale from the black Market. Between secret walkie talkies and police cars, I grabbed hold of James and said, "Just let me stand here until my legs stop shaking, so I can go kill Megan." Strange. Thousands of people. Who would have thought he'd be standing on the one corner where I needed him. I felt sorry for him though. He still tries to take care of everyone around him. Looked tired by the time we left. He's a good man, Charlie Brown, a fine guy.

Ah, thank you, Sharon. I need constant defending from Joe, he of the razor wire tongue.

It was great to have you there. Now it's getting warmer, it'll be much more pleasant. We can go to the Met, see Yankee stadium and Coney Island before they tear those down, walk the Brooklyn Bridge, try to rob Tiffany's...

So many things. We had a great time. I hope you can come back. Joe, you're uninvited. Does that sound "dandy" to you?

it's really just jealousy...that I can't bump into you on street corners and whatever. let me make up for that lack through unwarranted snark. please.

Geez. Do you guys ever sleep?

Joe, really, Meg and I want V. and James to adopt us.

Finally, pictures from New York. Sharon, I miss you so much it's bitter. I hadn't heard from you in so long (I know I know it takes two to tango), and now I am also jealous that I can't just run into YOU on street corners. But I do like James wants to take us to rob Tiffany's someday. It's true how accomodating (sp) he is.....no one else would have so selflessly taken Jen, husband, baby and I to Tiffany's AND FAO Schwartz AND give me PhD MFA prog tips all the while. Tips I didn't even follow. Because I'm so mixed up. I'm jealous.

Thanks for posting anew. Keep them a-coming. Miss you.
